 The State of Oklahoma has executed Julius Young 1/14/10

Julius Young, 60, shown here in this Oct. 2, 2003 photo provided by the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, is scheduled to be executed Jan. 14. The Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board voted 4-1 on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, to deny Young's bid for clemency.

Julius Young, 60, was sentenced to death for the October 1993 murders of 20-year-old Joyland Evette Morgan and her son, 6-year-old Kewan Dontae Morgan.

Joyland Morgan was the daughter of Young's girlfriend.

The Morgans were found beaten to death in their Tulsa apartment.

The U.S. Supreme Court denied Young's final appeal earlier this month.
